Cause of Acne: Why Me?
Published by admin on Tagged Acne Causes
The cause of acne are not really well known, many doctors think that’s by hormonal changes in people, during adolescence many androgens are produced, and this causes the sebaceous gland to work more.
Another possible cause of acne is genetics, because our genetics influence our skin types, hormone responses, and oily tendencies, but this play only a small part in reference to acne. However, just because our parents had acne does not necessarily mean that you will have acne.
But in any case, the main cause of acne, is that sebaceous glands are over producing sebum (oil) and this at the same time is blocking the pores contributing with the formation of whiteheads and blackheads in the skin.
Finally these blocked follicles provide the perfect environment to the accelerated growth of bacteria which ends causing acne, and depending on the severety, and the skin care or treatment you use, it could degenerate into its worst phase: Cysts.
There are many other problems that can contribute to the cause of acne, for example: diet, hygiene, menstrual cycle, hormonal changes, skin irritation or allergies, and certain medications, but the most important thing of all is not picking pimples, always avoide the popping or squeezing of pimples, this contributes a lot to the growth of bacteria.
And you must not touch your face, hands always have natural oils, and these can further aggravate the problem, you must always maintain a good hygiene and keep the glasses and dishes you use either clean to avoid any contact with oil on your face .
Finally I advise you that you must also be careful with your hair, if you have long hair you need to have it tied to avoid contact with your face, hair always has oils and dirt that also contribute to the birth of acne.
As I said at the beginning of the article, though the causes of acne are not known at all, what I recommend the most is to maintain a good hygiene, and following all the advices on this article.

I’ve just recently started to have a few more issues with clogged pores and blackheads since I’ve been getting older. I’ve just recently changed to Carol’s Daughter facial cleansing products and that has helped me tremendously.
Another thing to consider is making sure that pillow cases, blankets and sheets are changed frequently. That can contribute to the cause of acne as well.
Thanks again for your wealth of information!
Hugs,
Megan

As a teenager (years ago I’m afraid) I was lucky enough to escape in the main BUT I clearly remember how unkind some kids were to those poor unfortunate sufferers. I grew up at a time when everybody had long, mainly greasy, hair so your post explains much!
